Terms and Conditions

 

By purchasing a ticket for the Jersey Hospice Care Christmas Lottery (‘The Christmas Lottery’) the ticket purchaser agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions:

 

  1. The Christmas Lottery is being promoted by Jersey Hospice Care (‘Hospice’), a registered charity in Jersey, registration number 30.
  2. There are 12 prizes available: First prize – £50,000, Second prize - £10,000, and 10 prizes of £1,000
  3. All those affiliated with Hospice and its subsidiary companies are permitted to purchase tickets except members of Council and the Executive Team, and their spouse or partner and any financially dependent children aged 18 or over, who may not purchase.
  4. The tickets will be numbered from 1,000 to 7,999.
  5. The tickets will be priced at £30 each.
  6. An individual may purchase up to 10 tickets per transaction.
  7. Tickets must be purchased by adults aged 18 years old or over. Any ticket purchaser found to be under 18 years of age automatically forfeits the right to claim a prize which will revert to Jersey Hospice Care, their ticket price will be refunded to the original payment card and their ticket will be voided. Should this occur, it will be reported to the Jersey Gambling Commission.
  8. Tickets are only eligible for purchase by persons who are ordinary residents of Jersey, Channel Islands, with a valid Jersey address.
  9. Only tickets for which full payment has been received at the date of The Christmas Lottery draw may be entered into the raffle and eligible to win a prize.
  10. Tickets are sold to individuals, whose name is recorded to the ticket purchase and printed on to the ticket. Only one name will be entered as the ticket purchaser. Any winnings will only be paid to the ticket purchaser in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  11. The ticket purchaser is responsible for providing Hospice with accurate and up to date contact details, including their name and address and the ticket purchaser shall inform Hospice of any changes to these details as soon as they arise. Hospice will be in no way liable for the failure or inability to contact a ticket purchaser due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the information provided by the ticket purchaser.
  12. All ticket purchases will be recorded through the platform hosted at raffle.jerseyhospicecare.com which will provide email confirmation of ticket numbers issued to the purchaser.
  13. Ticket purchasers will be issued electronic ticket(s) by email.
  14. Tickets for The Christmas Lottery are non-transferable and all ticket sales will be deemed as final as evidenced by the electronic confirmation of purchase.
  15. The Christmas Lottery draw will take place on Wednesday 20th December 2023 at Jersey Hospice Care from 10am subject to the terms of Clause 17.
  16. Tickets sales will close on Friday 15th December 2023 at 18:00, or upon being sold out.
  17. Hospice reserves the right to alter the nature of the draw and to change the venue of the draw but not the date or time. Hospice shall endeavour to notify all ticket purchasers of any change to the venue through jerseyhospicecare.com, twitter.com/JerseyHospice, facebook.com/JerseyHospiceCare and the local media.
  18. The Christmas Lottery draw will be made through the Hospice database, DonorFlex, onto which all ticket purchases will be imported.
  19. The Christmas Lottery prizes will be drawn in order from highest value to lowest value.
  20. Tickets may win only one prize. When drawing subsequent prizes, DonorFlex will automatically exclude ticket numbers which have won prizes in the previous draws.
  21. The Christmas Lottery draw will be witnessed by the Promoter and at least one member of the Jersey Hospice Care Executive Team.
  22. Hospice will publish the sole definitive results of the draw on jerseyhospicecare.com, facebook.com/JerseyHospiceCare, twitter.com/JerseyHospice and in the local media.
  23. The winning ticket holders will be contacted by a member of the Hospice team to confirm they have won a prize.
  24. The prizes will be awarded to the winners upon evidence of the electronic confirmation of purchase, satisfactory proof of identity and evidence that the winners have complied with these terms and conditions.
  25. Prizes must be claimed by 30 June 2024. The right to collect any prize after this period ceases and the prize becomes the property of Hospice.
  26. Any ticket purchased in breach of these terms and conditions will be voidable at the sole discretion of Jersey Hospice Care.
  27. Any complaints relating to The Christmas Lottery should be made in writing to the Chief Executive of Jersey Hospice Care at Mont Cochon, St Helier, JE2 3JB. Any decision that is made in accordance with these terms and conditions shall be final and binding.
  28. Jersey Hospice Care's Christmas Lottery is regulated by the Jersey Gambling Commission (JGC) under permit #CP-2200-23 and may be required to provide JGC with details of all prize winners.
